[00:00:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Hey everybody, welcome back to the Outcomes Rocket Founder Stories.

[00:00:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So excited that you tuned in with us again.

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I've got the pleasure of hosting Bill Snyder on the podcast.

[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_01]: He is the founder and CEO of Cylinder.

[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_01]: They're a digital health innovator focused on improving GI care and they're doing a

[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_01]: massively great job at it.

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Bill's background includes not only digital health leadership, but he also previously

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_01]: spent over 10 years at Humana in various leadership positions.

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm pumped to have him here on the podcast.

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Bill welcome.

[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Saul, thanks so much for having me buddy.

[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Great to be on.

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_01]: It's so great to be on.

[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I've got a tremendous amount of respect for you Bill.

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Your career is impressive both on the payer side but also now as an entrepreneur.

[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: To kick things off we're going to spend time talking about Cylinder.

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_01]: But I want to start off with you man.

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Tell us about what inspired you to get into healthcare but more importantly get into

[00:00:57] [SPEAKER_01]: entrepreneurship.

[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah so the healthcare story I was an economics major and undergrad and I'd spent four

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_00]: years studying economics and understanding supply and demand and everything that econ

[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_00]: teaches you.

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_00]: And then I took a health economics course my senior year and it was basically like

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_00]: hey forget a lot of what you learned because here you have asymmetric information.

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_00]: You have a different purchasing mentality.

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And so it was really interesting to me.

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_00]: And so it was a lot of it was about why health goes broken.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And so that was kind of my light bulb moment where I was like I know I want to be

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_00]: involved in health care and I was fortunate to join a leadership rotational program

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_00]: with Humana.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_00]: As you mentioned I spent over a decade there great organization and learned a ton

[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_00]: about health care and the business of health care and really seeing every aspect of

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: the health care ecosystem.

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So moved all over the country with Humana and ultimately managed the Chicago office

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_00]: for Humana and really loved it.

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Learned a lot.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a great organization with great people.

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: But I found myself on the weekends and evenings doing entrepreneurial things.

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I actually worked with a student from Northwestern and we built a patient

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: to provider app.

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And so we did that again spent Sundays Tuesdays and Thursday evenings working on

[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_00]: that.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I never ended up bringing that to market but that was my first four way of hey

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: this is really what I want to do is build organizations that can ultimately

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_00]: impact the care being delivered to members.

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So that was kind of the beginning stages for me of this great journey.

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's been amazing throughout.

[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Hey that's really cool Bill and folks just so you know like Bill and I know

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_01]: each other from Chicago the health care scene there.

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I never knew about your app man and you know just kind of a message to

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_01]: everybody out there.

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't be afraid of trying it.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: You know and a lot of a lot of entrepreneurs start with a side hustle.

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't work out and maybe that side hustle turns into something serious

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_01]: and Bill is an example of that.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_01]: So on that transition right your app didn't work but now you're at Cylinder

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: and you guys are running on all cylinders.

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_00]: That's right.

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_00]: You know our mission is to revolutionize digital health gut burst.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So we're working with individuals who suffer from chronic GI conditions and

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: their related symptoms.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_00]: So that's things like ulcerative colitis Crohn's disease irritable bowel

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_00]: syndrome GERD.

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's also all these individuals who are out there that are symptomatic

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_00]: that are having some type of GI distress like floating or cramping or heartburn

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_00]: and they don't really know what's going on.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_00]: And either they can't get in to see a provider or maybe they've seen a

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_00]: provider but don't have a formal diagnosis or maybe they're embarrassed to

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_00]: talk about what's going on.

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_00]: So they just haven't taken that first step.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And so it's a really big population that we're solving.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a really big problem that we're tackling and it's been absolutely

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_00]: incredible to build this and work with such talented people.

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for that.

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah you know it's an interesting platform.

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Tell us how it works.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: How do you make this easy for the member or the patient.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Talk to us about how the whole thing works.

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah absolutely.

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_00]: So we find our members through partners so we work through employers as a

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_00]: covered benefit and health plans as a covered benefit and part of the

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_00]: care that they're delivering.

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_00]: And so for the member experience I think the most important thing is it's

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_00]: an all comers approach.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_00]: So I mentioned working with those individuals that don't have a formal

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_00]: diagnosis today.

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's really important because those are individuals who end up in the

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_00]: emergency room.

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_00]: They often are having repetitive tests done.

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to see different types of providers to try and understand

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_00]: what's going on or what's wrong.

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_00]: And so for us that's key.

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_00]: And so because we're working with such a variety of patients what's

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_00]: really important is that you build a scalable digital platform like we've

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_00]: done.

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_00]: And so it starts with the patient intake.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_00]: So we understand the personal needs of each patient.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_00]: We understand their condition and or symptom and then rebuild evidence based

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_00]: clinical pathways based upon their personal needs.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And so that kind of hyper personalization is key to our success because these

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_00]: conditions are very different.

[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_00]: They're nebulous in nature and so each patient has a very tailored

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_00]: experience.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And then we wrap that with a coordinated care team and that's made up

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_00]: of health coaches registered dietitians gastroenterologists and internal

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_00]: medicine specialists.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And so we're delivering these evidence based care plans.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_00]: We're wrapping with a coordinated care team and then we're pulling in external

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_00]: parties and labs as well.

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_00]: So we're doing things like colorectal cancer screenings.

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_00]: We have a national relationship with exact biosciences so we can send

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_00]: coli guard kids to the home.

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_00]: We're providing digital therapeutics like cognitive behavioral therapy for

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_00]: patients who suffer from IBS.

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's all supposed to be care in their pocket at their fingertips that

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_00]: gives them the care that they need when they need it most.

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_01]: That's awesome.

[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_01]: It's end to end for the GI experience before it actually gets exacerbated.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly right.

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And then the key for us is we've built our solution to fit within the care

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_00]: ecosystem.

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's really important that we're not creating a silo instead we're

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_00]: working with providers and brick and mortar settings.

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_00]: We're identifying patients that should be going into the doctor's office and

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_00]: having tests done like a colonoscopy and maybe they're avoiding it.

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_00]: We're saying, no, you really do need to get into the doctor soon.

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's really important that we say we're facilitating that care.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_00]: We're not here to replace providers.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_00]: We're here to work with them and support the members in between their

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: visits and for all this care that's delivered much better via telemedicine

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_00]: platform.

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, that's really interesting.

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, Bill, I'm really curious about the missed cases, right?

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And so you talked about intake.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_01]: How much of the platform ingests medical records and things like that

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_01]: that prompt you guys to reach out and suggest you should be doing this?

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. So we're able to intake a lot of information.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it's a little bit difficult to get it.

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's our ongoing challenge of healthcare is that interoperability

[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_00]: and who will share what information when.

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I think the good news is we've gotten really good at working with

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: just the patient to identify some of the core issues and do that really,

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_00]: really quickly.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, we're always looking to work with third parties to

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_00]: say, how do we build up that robust patient profile and continue to learn

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_00]: about the patient in an ongoing manner?

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And then also provide that information back to brick and mortar providers or

[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_00]: other digital solutions as well.

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01]: That's awesome.

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for sharing that.

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's just a reminder, folks, like you could own a pathway and not

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_01]: have to build it all.

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Like Bill is a great example of partnerships like the exact sciences

[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_01]: partnership and others to really cross the T's and dot the I's with

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_01]: a team that of people that have done it well.

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So as you built this bill, what's something that's really kind of risen

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_01]: to the top as you guys have this and it's truly differentiated?

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'd say a few things that we've done quickly that have helped us

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: really grow as the leader in this space.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_00]: The first is outcomes at scale, right?

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's taking exceptional care of our members.

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_00]: And so that's been validated through our patient reported outcomes where

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_00]: they say, Hey, 92% of the individuals that are surveyed say thanks to

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_00]: our work at Cylinder, their digestive symptoms are reduced.

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_00]: 88% of those surveyed have said thanks to our work with our registered

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_00]: dietitians, we've been able to identify a trigger food that's causing

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_00]: information, remove that from their diet.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we've shown great financial outcomes as well.

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Three to one ROI.

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_00]: So we're reducing emergency room visits.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_00]: We're reducing duplicative doctor visits.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_00]: We're improving medication adherence for our patients.

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_00]: So starts with the member outcomes and the clinical outcomes.

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_00]: And then the fast follow is the financial outcomes that we

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_00]: can show to our partners.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that's been really important as kind of the primary

[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_00]: is the outcomes at scale.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Second has been our, again, our ability to integrate with the care ecosystem,

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_00]: working with providers, but also working with other digital health

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_00]: solutions and your point saying, Hey, you know, we've identified maybe

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_00]: that this patient would benefit from working with a solution for patients

[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_00]: suffering from type two diabetes.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's do a referral to this other solution because we think that they

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_00]: could really help the patient's care.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And then the third thing is just continued innovation.

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_00]: It's never standing still.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_00]: It's always looking at what can we do next to improve the care

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_00]: we deliver to our patients?

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_01]: That's awesome, Bill.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Really appreciate that.

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_01]: And look, building companies, building solutions, especially

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: in healthcare is not easy.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I love what you've been able to do with this company.

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_01]: If you were to look back the last few years and just kind of maybe

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_01]: think of one of the setbacks that you had that was tough, but it

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_01]: made you better, what would you highlight?

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh boy.

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot, as you know, saw like, if I'm here building a

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_00]: building a company, you know, there's a bunch of roadblocks that you run

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_00]: into.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I think the key learning for me, as you go through ups and downs,

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_00]: building an organization and run into roadblocks, I always tell people

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_00]: two things like find a mission that you're passionate about.

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_00]: If it's something that speaks to you, it's much easier to push

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_00]: through those down moments in those roadblocks when you've got that

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_00]: kind of passionate view of, I know this is a problem.

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I see it impact my loved ones or me personally, and I want to solve it.

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's one thing.

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And then the second thing is just building a world-class team.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Getting people that are also passionate about the mission and are

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_00]: dedicated to what you're doing and building every day and that you can

[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_00]: enjoy working with and being around, I think is essential.

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'd say those are the two things that I talk about when I think

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_00]: about like what's gotten me through some of the barriers and the

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_00]: difficult times because there's, there's always going to be challenges

[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_00]: and there's always going to be hills to climb.

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_00]: And so making sure that you've got that mission and you've got that

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_00]: great team, I think makes it a lot easier.

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Now well said, Bill.

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_01]: And we're only as great as the team that surrounds us.

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_01]: So I love that.

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And having that North Star is key.

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_01]: What about the area of product market fit?

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of companies out there still trying to figure it out.

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_01]: What advice would you give to them?

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Big thing for me is ask a lot of questions.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think sometimes people come in and they assume that

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_00]: they understand the patient need.

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_00]: They understand the market dynamics and that's always shifting.

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_00]: That's always changing and you can always learn from those

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_00]: conversations.

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's getting in contact with either your members or your

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_00]: prospective members and understanding what it is they're looking for,

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_00]: what are their pain points that you're trying to solve?

[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_00]: And then the same thing with the partners.

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think the other thing that's unique about health care is

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_00]: you sometimes see people with a great product or great idea come to

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_00]: market, but they don't understand the healthcare ecosystem.

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_00]: They don't understand the importance of the relationships with payers

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_00]: and other providers and employers.

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that understanding is really key to be able to

[00:11:15] [SPEAKER_00]: ultimately reach the numbers that you want to serve.

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_01]: That's great, Bill.

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_01]: And how much of your success would you attribute to your 10 years at

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Humana and the experience as a payer wearing that hat?

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_00]: That definitely was super helpful for me.

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, just that understanding of provider contracting,

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_00]: of how health plans think and make decisions, how they evaluate

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_00]: new and innovative technology was extremely helpful.

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_00]: But again, I always take that kind of view of a consonant student, right?

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_00]: You're always learning, you're always developing.

[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_00]: So that helped me a lot, but health care changes all the time.

[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm always learning every day.

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_00]: But I think staying up to date on that and being in the

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_00]: conversations and thinking outside of kind of your domain.

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_00]: So really understanding what are the more kind of market

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_00]: leading headwinds or tailwinds that are influencing health care

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_00]: in general is something that's always important for any leader

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_00]: in healthcare space to be keeping your pulse on.

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's gold folks take advantage of this.

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I would hit rewind on that.

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Listen to it again, because Bill's dropping some major value bombs here.

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Take advantage of them.

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, let's shift back to cylinder for a bit, talking about the

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_01]: business and sort of the value prop.

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Talk to me about when somebody, one of your customers really sees

[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_01]: the value like the aha moment.

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_01]: What does that typically look or sound like?

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a good question.

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, a lot of times you go in thinking it's going

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_00]: to be when we show them this, these massive savings that we're

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_00]: able to deliver to them, but the reality is it's the patient voices.

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_00]: It's when, you know, we've got stories of CEOs of our companies, big

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_00]: companies that we work with getting a letter from a patient who's

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_00]: working with cylinder who says, Hey, this solution changed my life.

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_00]: And we get that all the time.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_00]: We get patient stories where they say I've been on this odyssey,

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_00]: this journey to figure out what's going on.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I've been scoped multiple times.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I've seen different doctors, different specialists.

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, decade long journeys where they're like, no one's been able

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_00]: to help and they work with us after a quarter of a year.

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_00]: They say, Hey, my symptoms are reduced.

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I finally can only control my digestive health.

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_00]: My anxiety is greatly decreased.

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just feeling great.

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_00]: They gave me my life back.

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'd say those are the moments where it's like, I mean, we get

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_00]: those stories and that's always so impactful for our partners

[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_00]: and our clients, and we certainly see that.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_01]: That's huge, man.

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_01]: It's why, why we're in this business to begin with and being able

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_01]: to make that difference is just amazing.

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_00]: You said it.

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_01]: That's cool.

[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Really appreciate that for everybody listening you guys work with just

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_01]: for the sake of ultimate clarity, you guys work with payers and providers.

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Tell us about who you serve.

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_00]: So we started in the employer market.

[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_00]: So large self-funded organizations were our primary partners working

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_00]: with great organizations across the country.

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_00]: We've got members in every state were available to provide care

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_00]: and offer at these States.

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_00]: And so working with a lot of large national organizations.

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And then we also work with major health plans.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_00]: So we're able to bill as a crane through these health plans.

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_00]: We're able to sign on their paper.

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_00]: So it makes it really seamless.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_00]: If you're a big employer and you want to engage with us, you can do

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_00]: it through your health plan.

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_00]: And then we're also working with a bunch of the aggregators as well.

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_00]: So some of the digital hubs, it's been incredible.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, the growth has been amazing.

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And again, I think it just further validates the need that we're serving.

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, the enrollment has been terrific.

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Even when we're working with a given employer, we see

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_00]: incredible enrollment rates.

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And so that's further validation to those employer partners that, yeah,

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_00]: this was a significant need for their patient population.

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Very cool.

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I love that.

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, thanks for clarifying that for everybody listening, take advantage

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_01]: of this opportunity to learn a little bit more about what cylinder has to

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_01]: offer, whether it's for your organization or for the members that you take

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_01]: care of now's the time, take advantage.

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_01]: These indications are everywhere.

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_01]: They're easily missed, but not with cylinder bill.

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_01]: What closing thought would you leave everybody listening today with?

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think for me, like in terms of what we're building at cylinder,

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_00]: we look at how important it is to wake up every day thinking about

[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_00]: the members that we serve and we're talking about GI health.

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_00]: But the reality is digestive health is connected to everything.

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_00]: So when we think about the patient population that we're ultimately serving,

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_00]: sometimes we joke a little bit that it's anybody who eats, you know,

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we've all been through GI distress and there's different levels

[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_00]: of acuity, but we're serving the entire population.

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that that's really important and foundational to

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_00]: the work that we're doing.

[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_00]: So I would ask anybody listening, definitely come take a look, check us out.

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And then in terms of just any of the founders out there, you said it best.

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_00]: All it's like, Hey, take the risk, you know, take the leap.

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_00]: If you're thinking about it, it's been the most rewarding experience

[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_00]: of my life to build something.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I would recommend to anybody take a page out of Saul's book or

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_00]: any other founder that this is a, it's an incredible opportunity to build

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_00]: something that you're passionate about.

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_01]: That's awesome.

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Love that closing message.

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate you so much for jumping on with us and folks make sure you check
