[00:00:25] Hi everyone, Saul Marquez here with the Outcomes Rocket with Jenna Parker, Chief of Staff at Healthie. And we're here at JPMorgan Health in San Francisco. Jenna, thanks for joining. Thanks for having me. It was a lovely January evening in San Francisco.
[00:00:49] Listen, it's beautiful. There's no rain. You just got back from an hour and a half workout and you've been like two days into this campaign. That's pretty intense. I love that. I'm a better version of myself when I work out. I feel like that's the time I do all my best thinking and I often end up writing long memos to the CEO after I go for runs about all the things we should be doing and all of my grandiose ideas.
[00:01:15] So sometimes I think everyone finds it in their own way, but that's my Zen spot. I love it. I love it. That's inspiring. I have a hard time whenever I'm at conferences to work out. So what's the secret? What gets you going? For me, it's like eating and sleeping. I have to do it. It just makes me whole. I have to get to that point. Yeah, it makes me whole. I grew up thinking it was normal to exercise every single day.
[00:01:37] So it's just a part of my life. And when I'm planning for conferences, I take into account, you know, I've got lots of meetings, but I block off time on my calendar to make sure that it exists. God bless you. I love that. Yeah. And I'm more productive. I'm in a better mood when I meet with people. So I think all in all, it's a benefit to everyone. Amazing. Amazing. Well, thanks for the inspiration on that.
[00:01:59] Okay. So we're talking insights and predictions here from JP Morgan Health. Before we begin, though, I actually want to give you a chance to talk about healthy. What do you guys do? Why is it different? Why does it matter? Oh, gosh. So healthy has been around for about nine years now. You know, that whole 10 years to an overnight success thing.
[00:02:19] We are an EHR patient engagement and scheduling platform that is built on the idea that care should involve a continuous ongoing journey between the patient and the provider. So we started building under this idea of virtual first care before virtual first care was actually a thing. And so we serve a variety of segments, everything from behavioral health to women's health, MSK, chronic pain, weight loss, you name it, we'd probably serve it.
[00:02:47] And we serve everything from small practices, solo practitioners, private practice in the health and wellness space through very clinical practices all the way up to venture back series C plus organizations. Beautiful. So you guys serve a lot of a lot of organizations as their EHR. Correct. Virtual first is the name of the game for you guys, right? Yeah. So any kind of care delivery that has some sort of asynchronous longitudinal aspect to it so they can have brick and mortar locations.
[00:03:15] But the idea is that there is some sort of ongoing relationship happening between the patient and provider. And the platform's different because we were built with this idea that it should be API first and very modular, enabling care providers to build on top of us very easily and to build the kinds of care workflows and care delivery journeys that are specific to the way that they want to meet and reach their patients.
[00:03:43] I love that. So thank you for sharing that. And I saw you guys at BHT. Now I see you guys here. I'm seeing you guys everywhere. So you guys are definitely making a push. You're making it known to the market what you're up to very successfully. As far as insights go, what's top of mind for you from this conference that sits at the top that you want to share with our our podcast viewers and listeners? I went to a happy hour the other evening. It was focused on neuroscience and behavioral health.
[00:04:12] And the one insight that I think I took away from that is I think there's a lot of unknowns with the new leadership coming into office in this country. And so a lot of people are not really sure what's going to happen. Yeah. And I think the the message and the call to action that they were trying to drive home is there has been a lot of funding into telehealth, into behavioral health over the last four or five years, especially since covid.
[00:04:40] But there is no guarantee that will continue. Mental health in this country is still a huge crisis, but we're struggling to really get outcomes. And so really, as care providers, we have to keep driving that innovation forward and driving those outcomes and finding ways to go to bat to ensure that funding is in place for the types of care that we're trying to deliver.
[00:05:04] I think getting rid of telehealth or making it harder for people to access care and going backwards is going to be really detrimental to everyone. So that was the big takeaway there is that there's a lot of work to be done and it may take all of us really stepping up and pushing and making our voices louder, especially depending on what happens in the White House and Congress and the Senate as we go forward. Can't depend on what happens there. We got to keep going. Yeah, absolutely. Love that.
[00:05:32] And so, yeah, that's been on a lot of people's minds. Uncertainty, whether it be regulations, approvals. But I love your perspective on that one. So then I guess what do you think is going to happen? Let's talk predictions. Oh, gosh. Can you with. Let's be bold here. That administration coming into office. I mean, the man is threatened to remove the FDA. Okay.
[00:05:59] So, look, I think all of our eyes were very much opened a few weeks ago with what happened with the death of the president of UnitedHealthcare that there's a lot that still needs to change and that healthcare still is not serving the public the way that it really needs to in this country.
[00:06:18] So I'm hoping that becomes a catalyst for us to start to really push for change that is really helping the everyday person get the care that they need in a way that they can actually afford. But I would not dare a guess at what kinds of things will be done once he takes office. I know there's talk about like, will ONC suddenly be deprioritized?
[00:06:45] I just, I'm not even going to, I'm not going to touch that. That's fair. I appreciate that. But ultimately, the call to action is, hey, let's stay with it. Let's keep going forward. And so if folks out there want to learn more about Healthy, about you, the team, where can they go? Where can they find out more? Well, you can certainly stumble across our website. It's www.gethealthy.com.
[00:07:14] You can learn all about our platform. You can sign up for a trial so you can test it out yourself. Certainly reach out to our team. We love to talk about what we're doing and talk about the way that we're helping to support care delivery of all different kinds. And reaching people where they are, whether that's remotely or in big cities and whether that's behavioral health or pediatric care or primary care or women's health. That's what we're here for is to help people get the care that they need. Well, that's amazing. You guys are doing it in a very different way.
[00:07:43] So for all of you listening to us, make sure you check them out. And then the last thing that I was going to ask you, Jenna, is around the JPMorgan sort of like best practices for somebody wanting to come here and make the most out of their JPMorgan help experience. What do you recommend? And why do you come here? Yeah, this is my third year at JPMorgan. The first time that I came, I had to convince the company that it was worthwhile. It's a funny conference because most people don't actually go to the conference.
[00:08:12] What happens is most of the companies that we want to talk to our customers, our prospects, third party partners that are part of our harbor, right? That they're all in town to meet with different people. So it just, I felt like we had a happy hour last night and I felt like it was like a high school reunion saying hello to all of my good friends. That was fun. Yeah. You guys did a good job with that. It's a great opportunity to see people, to kick off the year. I would say we do a lot of outreach before we come to see who's going to be in town to set up meetings.
[00:08:39] What's your rule of thumb on that? Time wise. Some people say six months. Some people say three. Where are you at on that? To reach out to people? Yeah. Oh no, it probably, we probably started reaching out about a month ago. Okay. And then we hole up at a coffee shop. I've drank way too much coffee. I've probably kept Blue Bottle in business for the year. But I would say coming here, wear really comfortable shoes. There's a lot of walking that happens. Yes.
[00:09:04] But I think there's a lot of interesting people here to talk to from a lot of different sectors in healthcare and you don't have to be going to the conference to get a lot out of being here. Amazing. Well, great tips there, Jenna. Thank you so much. Again, ladies and gentlemen, Jenna Parker, Chief of Staff at Healthy with us today at JPMorgan, sharing insights and predictions for 2025. Make sure you check them out in the show notes. Easy ways to get in touch and for you to be healthier as well. Jenna, thanks for being with us. Thanks for having me.
